Q. How do I request an article or book via Inter-Library Loan (ILL)?

As you are conducting research, if you discover an article, book or book chapter of interest that is not available in our Library, you can request the book or an electronic copy of the book chapter or journal article through our interlibrary loan system.  This service is free of charge to all Marist students.  First time users must create an ILL account to begin using the library's interlibrary loan system.  Use ILL to submit a request for a journal article, book, or book chapter that is not available in full text in the library databases or catalog.

  • After signing into your ILL account, click on "Create Request," Then choose Article or Book in the top menu
  • Complete as much of the request form as possible, especially the fields with asterisks.
  • You will be notified by email when your article, book, or book chapter is available.  Follow the directions in the email to access your journal article.
