How do I clear out cookies from Chrome and Firefox?

Here are instructions for clearing cookies from Chrome and Firefox.

Chrome - Clear All Cookies

  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click more button. (the three buttons in a line) 
  • Click More tools and then Clear browsing data.
  • At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All.
  • Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  • Click Clear data.

Chrome - Clear Specific Cookies

  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click More and then Settings.
  • At the bottom, click Advanced.
  • Under "Privacy and security," click "Cookies and other site data".
  • Click "see all cookies and site data".
  • In the "search cookies" bar search for the website's name.
  • To the right of the site, click Remove [Garbage can].

Firefox

  • Click the menu icon (3 parallel bars found in upper right hand corner).
  • Choose "Options"
  • On the left side menu, choose "Privacy & Security"
  • Look at the "History" section (just below "Forms & Passwords")
  • At the bottom of the "History" section there is the sentence, "Firefox will remember your browsing, download, form, and search history."  Click on "clear history".  A series of options will appear.  Check the boxes that fit your needs.
