How do I cite a newspaper in CSE Style?

Newspapers are cited very much like journal articles, except for a few minor differences. CSE Name-Year Recommends the following:
Last Name First Initial(s). Date(formatted Year Mon Day). Article Title. Newspaper title.* [accessed date (formatted Year Mon Day)]. URL.
Smith J. 2021 Sept 25. Clownfish abound. New York Times. [accessed 2009 Apr 3]. https://nytimes.com.
*Newspaper titles are not abbreviated.
If no author is listed, start with the Article title followed by the date.
Clownfish are boring. 2022 Jan 3....
Check with your professor about whether you need to include an access date or not.
