What link do I use for my citation?

Answer

Databases will often offer different links to the same source.

  • A link with “doi” in the URL
  • The link at the top of the browser
  • Links in citation generators
  • A link offered on the page itself either as text or generated by clicking an icon or link

Of all these options, the link with doi or a link labeled as stable, document URL, permanent or generated by clicking an icon/link are the best ones to use for your citation.
