What is the Archives and Special Collections?
Answer
Archives & Special Collections is a department within the library that holds materials related to the history of Marist University, including photographs, yearbooks, and more. It also holds collections of original materials from individuals and organizations that range from videos to personal letters and diaries. These collections cover the following subject areas: communications, environmental history, Hudson River Valley History, music, and rare books.
These materials can only be accessed in the Archives & Special Collections reading room on the first floor of the library. (1 floor down from the library entrance and service desks)
It is recommended that you identify what you want to access beforehand and make an appointment to visit. The Archives' hours can be found on their website.
