How do I cite an encyclopedia entry in MLA Style?

Answer

For entries with an author, MLA recommends the following:

Author Last Name, Author First Name. “Title of Entry.” Title of Encyclopedia. Publisher, Publication Date,      page range for entry (if provided). Database Name, URL.

Kurian, George. “Addams, Jane.” The Encyclopedia of Political Science. CQ Press, 2011.      https://dx.doi.org/10.4135/9781608712434.

For entries without an author, MLA recommends the following:

“Title of Entry.” Title of Encyclopedia. Publisher, Publication Date, page range for entry (if provided).      Database Name, URL.

"Kitsee, Isador." Encyclopaedia Judaica, edited by Michael Berenbaum and Fred Skolnik, 2nd ed., vol. 12,      Macmillan Reference USA, 2007, p. 207. Gale eBooks, link.gale.com/apps/doc/CX2587511224/GVRL
