How do I cite a webpage made by an organization or business in Chicago Style?

Answer

For Chicago Style, use the business or organization’s becomes the author in the bibliography entry. For footnotes, it is listed after the title of the specific page. If the Author and the Name of the website are the same, only list them once as the author.

For the date, do not use the copyright date for the site, instead look for a date specific to the page. If no date is available for the page, put the date you accessed the page instead before the URL.

Footnotes

1. "Title of Webpage," Name of Website, publication or revision date if available, accessed date if no other date, URL.

1. "Careers in Psychology," American Psychological Association, 2008, https://www.apa.org/education-career/guide/careers.
