How do I cite a source I accessed through Perusall in MLA?

While MLA does not have a recommended format for Perusall, librarians have put together the following suggested examples.

  • Cite the source according to MLA rules for that source type.
  • Include Perusall as the database.

 

Journal Article:

 

Author Last Name, Author First Name. “Article Title.” Journal Name, vol. volume #, no. issue #, publication year, pp. page range. Perusall.

 

Andre, Didierjean, and Gobet Fernand. “Sherlock Holmes: An Expert’s View of Expertise.” British Journal of Psychology, vol. 99, no. 1, 2008, pp. 109-125. Perusall.

 

Non-Edited Book (entire book written by the same author(s)):

 

Author Last Name, Author First Name. Book Title. Publisher, Publication Year. Perusall.
