How do I format a reference page in ACS Style?
Answer
ACS Style recommends the following:
- Title it References in bold and it should be aligned left, not centered
- Place citations in the order that they appeared in text, first source will become 1 in the list
- Format the numbers with a period after them followed by one space
- No part of the citation should be indented
- Microsoft Word and Google Docs will try to indent the citation as part of a numbered list, use the undo function to stop this from happening
