Help! I clicked on a link in FoxHunt or another library database and it didn't take me to the full text of the article, what do I do?
Answer
FoxHunt is set up to take you to materials that the library has full text access to, either paid or free resources.
But sometimes the free resources, open access journals from DOAJ and Free e-journals are two examples, don’t allow us to link directly to articles and only allow us to link to their website. This requires you to do a few extra steps to locate the full text through their website.
Visit our guide “How to Access an Article on a Journal's Website” to learn about ways to navigate through a journal’s website to find the full text.
If after using this guide, this still does not result in access, contact a librarian or click the “Report Issue” icon
in the “Save It” section on the page with source information to report that the link is broken. You should not use the "Report Issue" icon if you are asked to "Sign in for All Services" to access an article. This indicates that the library does not have access to the article and you will need to request it from another library through InterLibrary Loan.
