What do I do when I can’t access a source coming from Unpaywall?

Answer

Unpaywall provides access to sources from legitimate universities and publishing companies that are freely available.

But sometimes, the resources are no longer available for free due to the Publisher’s change in policy.  Or a website may get updated and the content is no longer at the URL provided by Unpaywall or has been removed completely.

Look to see if there are other access options beyond Unpaywall and if not, use the “Report Issue” icon

A gray triangle with an exclamation point in the middle with the words Report Issue underneath. Click this icon when you have difficulty accessing full text through the provided links. Not for use when you are asked to Sign in for all services, aka request for free from another library through InterLibrary Loan

in the “Save It” section on the page with source information to report that the link is broken.

If you need further help, contact a librarian.
