How do I cite a source in-text that doesn’t have page numbers in MLA Style?

Answer

If a work, such as a website, does not include page numbers, then omit this portion of the in-text citation. Some sources—like ebooks—identify a location in ways that aren’t page numbers. If your work is divided into stable sections like chapters, those sections may be cited.

Example: (Smith Chapter 2)

If you have a Journal Article that has an article number, rather than page numbers, please refer to How do I cite a journal article that only has an article number in MLA Style?
