What is a click path citation?

A click path, which may also be called a user flow, shows the path a user took to get to a certain place (webpage, photo, article, etc.) on a website or other online source.
Click paths can help you understand how users navigate a site, or allow others to follow the path you took in order to find the same materials that you found.
Some faculty may request a click path in addition to your standard citation. Here is an example of a click path citation formatted in Chicago Style describing how you may have found this question:
